Completing the form
About the LCR
I believe the Land Condition Record to be invaluable, I can certainly sleep better at night knowing what is under the plant! It is my intention to have an LCR for each of JCA’s UK facilities, whether we intend selling them or not. It makes good business sense to know what environmental risks we have so we can manage them; the days of hiding your head in the sand are gone!”
John O’Connell , UK Health, Safety & Environment Manager, Johnson Controls Automotive
This web site contains an electronic version of the LCR Form document, which has been designed as an aid to help you create a Land Condition Record. It has been set out in a way that should make the compilation and documentation of detailed information as logical and comprehensive as possible. Although this document has the name and appearance of a form it might be more appropriate to think of it as a framework for a report. The layout provides the basis of the document, which in many cases will then need additional sections added to, in order to record all the relevant information.
This electronic version is likely to be the most preferable way of creating an LCR document. The electronic version, once installed, not only provides unlimited opportunities to create as many LCR forms as required, but also incorporates special automated features that assist in the document’s creation. Sections will automatically expand as additional text is entered and whole sections can be replicated at the touch of a button, for example should different zones of a property require separate documentation.

Producing an LCR Document

At any time you can view or hide the toolbar by clicking on View | Toolbars then either ticking or un-ticking “LCR Controller” as appropriate.
Blank Printed LCR form
If you require a blank LCR form to be sent straight to the printer then click “Print LCR Form” on the “LCR Controller” toolbar.
Electronic LCR form
If you wish to create and fill in the LCR form on screen, click “Create LCR Form” on the “LCR Controller” toolbar. Initially, you will be prompted for some common information. Complete as much of this dialog as possible because this information may appear in more than one place in the form. It is possible to come back to this entry dialog at any time by clicking on the QuickEdit button on the special LCR Toolbar, which should be visible whenever you are editing an LCR form on screen.

Finally, you are reminded to enter any additional disclaimers, before proceeding to fill out the body of the form. Most of the form has been designed using a table structure. This is flexible and expandable whilst holding the information in a clear presentable format. Where possible use the special LCR Toolbar functions to assist in the creation of the document. The toolbar functions should be self-explanatory. Click on the Help button for further explanation. Only resort to using standard Word functions where an LCR toolbar function is not available for a required alteration to the document. We hope that you the find the LCR form a helpful tool in the creation of your document, but please note that it cannot be guaranteed for accuracy and does not prompt for every relevant piece of information. The flexible form design should only be regarded as a framework for your final document.
