Find SiLC At This Year’s Brownfield Expo

SiLC is one of the supporting partners at this years Brownfield Expo (BEX), part of Sustainabilitylive!, the premier national event for remediation and contaminated land solutions, which is returning to the NEC Birmingham from the 24th – 26th May 2011.

BEX showcases the very latest technologies supporting the aim of retuning previously derelict land back to productive use. The three-day seminar programme which runs alongside the exhibition, allows experts within the sector to impart the latest knowledge and best practice to delegates.

BEX is part of Sustainabilitylive!, and will once again run alongside the National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX), International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX), Environmental Technology (ET), and Sustainable Business – The Event (SB).

SiLC Assessments 2011

The application deadlines are as follows:

Round 1 (2011A)

Last date for us to recieve applications is 1st April 2011 (the application must be postmarked on or before this date).

The written test will take place between 1st and 31st May with the Interview weeks following in September. The Results will then be sent out on 10th October 2011.

Round 2 (2011B)

Last date for us to recieve applications is 25th July 2011 (the application must be postmarked on or before this date).

The written test will take place between 5th September and 3rd October with the Interview weeks following in December. The Results will then be sent out on 23rd January 2012.

Response to the Consultation on Statutory Guidance

After meeting with Defra to discuss proposals for revision of the Part 2A Statutory Guidance (SG), the SiLC Professional and Technical Panel has collated views on how the SG might be revised to make the legislation more efficient and effective.
