John is Principal Land Quality Consultant based in MWH's UK Head Office in Warrington. He is an environmental chemist with 27 years experience; for the last 13 he has specialised in contaminated land in local authorities and consultants.

He has advised on contamination risk assessment, waste and other environmental issues on many sites such as gasworks, tar works, collieries, tanneries, smelters, landfills and former MOD sites. John has considerable knowledge of Part 2A, IPPC, waste management, and environmental aspects of Planning and Building Control. His risk assessment experience covers potential effects of ground gas, chemical, microbiological and low-level radiochemical contamination on human health, controlled waters, property and ecological receptors.
