Lewis has over eight years experience in the field of contaminated land assessment and remediation, including desk studies, intrusive site investigations, risk assessment in various forms, options appraisal, remediation design and validation reporting.

Regularly requested by a variety of stakeholders to provide training on, or interpretation of, technical and legislative issues, Lewis has a key role in enabling brownfield redevelopment through successful management of the planning process.

Experience includes major gasworks and steelworks redevelopments for residential uses, liability assessments in cases of secondary contamination, auditing of remediation processes to ensure regulatory compliance, and dealing with potentially contaminated land for local authorities under Part IIa.
