Mike Bevan has over 20 years experience in the geoenvironmental field. Mike has experience in Phase I & II geoenvironmental appraisals, identifying particular areas of concern and using a risk based approach to identify potential pollutant linkages. Design and supervision of the required remediation for both the identified contamination issues and geotechnical problems. Liaison with the regulatory bodies is an integral part of this process together with validation reports for regulator sign off.

In his career Mike was Marketing Director at IGES Ltd responsible for the design and costing of bespoke geoenvironmental appraisals for various sites around the UK, a service required by various "blue chip" companies, developers, major house builders, etc. More recently Mike was an Associate at Applied Geology also playing an important ongoing management role in commitment to Health & Safety with sign off on project specific risk assessments and also involved in management inspection of sites and sub contractor approval.

Mike has recently taken up a role as Senior Engineer with Coffey Geotechnics Limited in their Reading office. Coffey is a geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultant which combines these skills to carry out feasibility studies and initial liaison with the Client. Subsequently Coffey carries out risk assessments, engineering evaluation, detailed design, specification, construction supervision and provides expert advice to provide valued engineering solutions to problems in the ground.
