Hugh, an engineering geologist with 30 years of professional experience leads a multidisciplinary team involved in the investigation, assessment and remediation of contaminated land.

Hugh spent the first ten years of his career on geotechnical aspects of engineering projects in UK and overseas, followed by four years in the Department of Environment providing professional advice to Ministers and senior civil servants.

Hugh is a past Chairman of the AGS having previously chaired the Contaminated Land Group. He was also previously a member of the SiLC Professional and Technical Panel and continues to act as an assessor. Hugh also validates candidates for Chartered status of the Geological Society.
