Mike is a civil engineer, with expertise in water and soils engineering over 30 years, having being involved in environmental work in the UK for the past 20 years. He has worked for major Consultants and Contractors, and also run Site Investigation companies.

Mike now acts as an Expert advisor to land buyers, remediation contractors and development companies, particularly in residential housing work. He is an Associate Director with RSK, running their Geoscience division in the Kent office. Specific expertise has been developed in building on landfills (co-author of a CIRIA Report), and in sustainable soil remediation methods, as well as work dealing with specific geotechnical engineering problems in SE England. Mike has worked overseas in the Middle East and Europe; in 2000/01 he was founding Chairman of the European NICOLE network's SPG (service provider group). He sits on the CL:AIRE Technical Review
