Afam is a chartered civil engineer and geo-environmental specialist with over 20 years experience in civil, geotechnical and environmental engineering. His practical experience has, to a large extent, involved brownfield development particularly in relation to contaminated land, its investigation, risk assessment, remediation and provision of related advisory services. His key specialities are in geotechnical design, risk/liability estimation and the identification and management of geoenvironmental project abnornals. He is a portfolio manager for a number of clients and has been directly involved in the pre-aquisition, development and closure surveys of more than 300 sites in the UK and overseas.
