Peter Witherington is Deputy Chairman of RSK Group in the UK and Chairman of the AGS Contaminated Land Committee. He has over 25 years' experience in the assessment and remediation of brownfield sites and has worked extensively with developers and regulators. He has been involved in numerous research projects undertaken by DoE, DETR, DTI and the Environment Agency. He has developed protocols for a number of clients to control the liabilities associated with the acquisition and development of brownfield sites and assisted the NHBC in the preparation of their Land Quality Standard. He is involved in the ODPM task forces on waste permitting of site remediation and soil guideline. Mr P J Witherington is a SiLC registered assessor
