Understanding the Relationship Between Practitioner, Regulator and Public: Join Our Expert UK Regulatory Panel
SiLC are pleased to announce an upcoming webinar exploring one of the most important and sometimes challenging aspects of land condition management:
Exploring the Pros and Cons of Confrontation, Collaboration and Cooperation between Practitioner, Regulator and Public
Date: 4 November
Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Cost: £45 inc VAT (£35 inc VAT for Registered SiLCs)
This webinar follows the highly commended regulator panel discussion at the SiLC Annual Forum and will bring together experienced regulators from across the United Kingdom to discuss how practitioners, regulators and the public can work together to achieve effective outcomes for land condition management.
The discussion will examine the realities of regulatory decision-making, the challenges faced by environmental regulators, and the factors that influence when collaboration can be successful and when differing priorities can lead to disagreement or confrontation.
For those working across contaminated land, brownfield regeneration, planning, environmental regulation and land quality management, this session offers a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of regulatory perspectives and processes.
Why attend?
The land condition sector increasingly requires effective communication and cooperation between multiple stakeholders. Understanding the roles, responsibilities and constraints faced by regulators can help improve project outcomes, streamline decision-making and support a shared commitment to getting it right first time.
Delegates will benefit from:
- Valuable Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Insight into regulatory approaches across the UK
- Greater understanding of the challenges regulators face
- Discussion of real-world examples and experiences
- Opportunities to learn from leading industry experts
- Live Q&A with the panel
The webinar will also explore how regulators work together across different organisations and jurisdictions, the drivers behind their decisions, and why collaboration is not always possible or effective in every situation.
